BACKGROUND
Is an integral membrane glygoprotein belonging to the family of class B scaravenger receptors, which binds many ligands such as collagen, trombospondin , erytrocytes with malaria plasmodia, native and oxidized lypoproteins and phospholipids. On macrophages is part of a non opsonic receptor. Recently is has been implicated in the metabolisms of fatty acids and

PRODUCT
Each vial contains the indicated amount of IgG (HPLC, Prot. A) in 0,1% gelatine and 0,05% NaN3.

Mouse IgM.

SPECIFICITY
Known also as gpIIIb; gpIV; OKM5-antigen; PASIV FAT,SCARB3, is expressed on:
platelets, microvascular endothelia, monocytes, erythroid precursor , machrophages, macrophage-
derived dendritic cells. It plays a role in the innate immunity to malaria. Mutations of CD36 are
known to be associated with resistence to platelets transfusion.

STORAGE
Store frozen, avoid repeated freeze-thawing. Stable for 2 yrs.
