Datasheet preview

BACKGROUND

The copper containing enzyme tyrosinase, essential to pigmentation in mammals, is specifically synthesized by epithelial and mucosal melanocytes, pigmented epithelium of the ciliary body and retina. The mature form of the enzyme, named T4, is a single-chain glycoprotein of 75KD localized in melanosomes.

PRODUCT

1. Each vial contains the indicated amount of IgG (caprylic acid purified) in 0.1% gelatine and 0.05% NaN3.

2. Unpurified reagent is provided at the indicated amounts with 0.1% NaN3.

Centrifuge the vial prior to use.

SPECIFICITY

The murine monoclonal antibody MP-AA-4 (IgG1) has been generated using a highly pigmented melanoma cell line as immunogen. It recognizes the human T4- tyrosinase. It does not cross reacts with the animal isoenzyme.

STORAGE

Store frozen, avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Stable for 2 yrs.

SHIPPING CONDITIONS

Room temperature.

RESEARCH USE

This antibody is for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use.

APPLICATIONS

Immunohistochemistry (fluorescence, enzymatic),  Acetone fixed cryostat sections or cytospins (20 µg/ml).

Immunoprecipitation, 5 µg, using rabbit anti-mouse Ig and protein ASepharose.
